OUR

STORY

Our Founder, Ashlè Rodriguez-Perdomas, has been a mother for over 21 years and in that time her home naturally became known as a “safe house.” At first the idea sounded surprising, but the need was undeniable.

Ashlè built her home on a simple and sacred philosophy: everything can be asked for. No shame. No silence. Just ask. She listens. She provides.

By the age of 23, she was raising two children of her own and was determined to show up differently. She joined school committees, learned teachers’ names, volunteered in classrooms, and attended every event. Over time, she became a bridge between schools and families, not only for her children but for many others.

Through this involvement, Ashlè witnessed the gap between those who had what they needed and those who did not. She realized that when systemic barriers are addressed and basic needs are met, children do not just survive, they thrive.

From that truth, GOAT Camp was born. Rooted in Character, Academics, Mindset, and Prosperity, it is Ashlè’s tribute to every child, her own and the community’s, who deserves to dream without limits. It is her promise that when young people are poured into with intention, they will not miss.

How It Works  And Why It Works!

GOAT Camp works because we keep it simple, consistent, and rooted in what Black boys actually need.

We don't overpromise or overcomplicate.
We listen. We show up. We stay.

Here's how we do it:

  • We assign a trusted adult to every participant. Someone who sees them, checks in, and stays connected through the ups and downs.

  • We build the playbook around their gift, not some generic program. We meet them where they are and build from there.

  • We keep it confidential. What’s shared stays protected unless there's a risk of harm. Trust is everything.

  • We work in village mode. Our support doesn’t rely on one person it’s a full network of people showing up, together.

We don’t just help boys move on from high school , we help them arrive ready.

Ready for college.
Ready for the trades.
Ready for entrepreneurship.
Ready for life.

They leave GOAT Camp with clarity, skills, and confidence.
They learn how to plan, how to listen to themselves, how to lead, and how to win on purpose.

We take away the daily stress of survival so they can finally focus on what matters:
becoming who they were born to be.
